Here’s a little bank holiday treat for anyone still reading my blog :D

If you’re interested you can download the 30min mix of head nodding, booty shaking, bass wobbling Jellybass tunes here:

DJing – New Tune – Jellybass Update

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

DJ’ed for the first time in along time tonight, had a really good night. DJ setup was terrible and there were live ‘percussionists’ there which kinda through beat mixing into a bit of a spin but was great to play music I really enjoyed again. Was slightly egotistical and played only my own tracks which included Jellybass, Starstakka and some of my own bits and pieces, including a tune I finished off earlier today. Considering splashing out on some kit to let me play mp3’s on my decks… essentially allowing me to turn up to a gig with just laptop and a couple of vinyls instead of having to kart a crate about.

Have just found out that our first Jellybass vinyl is #1 in the Chemical Records sales chart for Grime/Dubstep… which awesome and also quite odd as this is not really the genre of choice I wouldn’t have said. Wicked stuff that we are #1 in anything tho, wonder how sales are outside of bristol ;)

Also fought of Joel in an epic 5 game battle of Pro Evo this eve, making it 3-0 in terms of sessions, including a 7-3 drubbing in one of the games… maybe next time eh Joely :p

Test Presses

Thursday, December 7th, 2006

Test Presses for Jellybass vinyl #1 are back and sound awesome, we’re very pleased. All artwork has gone off so shouldn’t be too long till the final artical is winging its way onto (and then sharply off again hopefully) shop shelves.

We are very pleased with the artwork for this release, so assuming there are no balls ups in the production stages the vinyls are gonna look very striking. Once we’re ready to unleash the eye candy on the unsuspecting public ill upload some images.

Also managed to aquire a free ticket to see ‘DJ Shadow’ in concert in Bournemouth tonight which is pretty awesome!

Mr Scruff

Thursday, November 16th, 2006

Went to see Mr Scruff last night play at the uni, all in all a great night with alot of people! News flash of the evening is that Scruff dropped some Jellybass :D

He played Wobble and I think Chix has a video clip of the crowd at the time, which Ill try to upload onto the myspace when I get it!

Chix also saved the day and rescued the milk in Scruff’s shop from a smash and grab attack from a drunk student girl… here is a picture of us chilling our post Jellybass euphoria with a nice cup of Scruff Tea :D

Jellybass @ Mr Scruff

A good night was had by all, oh and the VJ and lady running the Scruff shop were also graced with a JB CD

P.S. If you myspace, please head over to Scruffs site and say how much you enjoy the Jellybass and how you would love to hear it some more ;)
